How to Figure out: 1 Week Diet plan

Dieting is a matter of regularity Here’s an example of how to figure out a 1-week diet.

1-week diet plan

Day 1

Breakfast: Cereal with yogurt, honey, and fruit, tea, fruit juice.

Main meal: ¾ cup paneer (cottage cheese), baked jacket potatoes, mixed salad dressed with olive oil and lemon juice, fresh fruit salad, one glass of lemon juice.

Other Meal: Vegetable soup and phulka, or slice brown bread, a glass of fruit juice or vegetable juice, one apple or an orange.

Day 2

Breakfast: Soft boiled egg, wholemeal toast, tea, and fruit juice.

Main meal: Brown rice with tomato and vegetable sauce sprinkled with very little grated cheese, green salad dressed as on day 1. Stewed apple sweetened with honey if required a glass of lemon juice.

Other Meal: Palak paneer, (cottage cheese with spinach) phulka, apple or pear, buttermilk or fruit juice.

Day 3

Breakfast: Oatmeal porridge made with water and served with honey and skimmed milk, fruit juice, tea, or herb tea.

Main meal: Omelette filled with cottage cheese (paneer) and herbs, fresh wholemeal bread (lightly buttered) or phulka, green salad dressed as before.

Soaked dried apricots sweetened with hone and served with yogurt (dahi), lemon tea, or juice.

Other meal: Sandwich of cold chicken with salad, or cream cheese and salad on wholemeal bread. One apple, orange, or pear, a glass of skimmed milk.

Day 4

Breakfast: Cereal with skimmed milk, wholemeal toast and honey, fruit juice, and herb tea.

Main Meal: Stir mixed vegetables (onions, carrots, brinjal red, and green peppers, cauliflower, and mushrooms cut into small pieces and quickly fried in sunflower or olive oil with yogurt, lemon tea, or lemon juice.

Other Meal: ¾ cup cottage cheese, tomatoes sliced, lightly buttered wholemeal bread, fruit juice or tea or herb tea.

Day 5

Breakfast: Yoghurt with sliced banana and sprinkled with honey, fruit juice, tea.

Main Meal: Grilled lamb chop (or nut and lentil cutlet) with steamed fresh vegetable and salad of raw cabbage, walnuts, apples, carrot, and peppers dressed with oil and orange juice. Stewed plums with honey, lemon, tea, or juice.

Other meal: Phulka, or a slice of brown bread, ¾ cup dal, 2 glass of fruit juice, one apple or orange.
