Sample Apology Letter to the Court for Drunk Driving

Every nation has its own rules. These rules are made for the welfare of the people. If anyone disobeys these rules, the court takes action against him. The court doesn’t take any cases lightly. However, there are certain things you can do to show the magistrate that you take full responsibility for your actions and are very remorseful.  Writing an apology letter to the court is one of the most important steps.

We should abide by all rules of the court. We should not be drunk driving. A survey told that one in 8 deaths of Australians under the age of 25 is due to drunk driving. For that police have conducted breath tests. If you have been charged with drunk driving, there is a good chance the magistrate is not going to be predisposed to dealing with you leniently.

Your honor,

Please accept my sincerest apology for my conduct on (Mention the date when it occurs). There is no exact reason for my behavior. The purpose of this is to convey to your honor and the court my sincere apologies for any inconvenience I have caused by drunk driving. I know that the court doesn’t take drunk driving lightly. Many people died. It’s a very dangerous act for the driver and passers-by. Please accept my heartiest apology for my heinous act.

I am very lucky not to have hit or killed any person or child. The traffic officer (Officer’s Name) drove me home and shouted at me. It was really very embarrassing for me. I have great regret about that. I promise you that it will never ever happen again in the future.

Please, sir, give me another chance so that I can prove myself and my promise. This time, I will never let you down.

Yours sincerely,

(Your Name)
