Job satisfaction is a set of favorable and unfavorable feeling and emotion of the employee towards the different facets of the job. Job satisfaction typically refers to the attitude of a single employee. Job satisfaction is an overall attitude, i.e., attitude towards different part of the job.
Job satisfaction is relatively stable, as well as dynamic. It is a part of life satisfaction. Environmental factors affect job satisfaction. These factors have spillover effects on job satisfaction.

Wagner and Hollenbeck: Job satisfaction is a pleasurable feeling that results from the perception that one’s job fulfills or allows for the fulfillment of one’s important job values.
