What is the Definition of Job Satisfaction?

Job satisfaction is a set of favorable and unfavorable feeling and emotion of the employee towards the different facets of the job. Job satisfaction typically refers to the attitude of a single employee. Job satisfaction is an overall attitude, i.e., attitude towards different part of the job.

Job satisfaction is relatively stable, as well as dynamic. It is a part of life satisfaction. Environmental factors affect job satisfaction. These factors have spillover effects on job satisfaction.

Life satisfaction affects large number of factors, such as job, family, politics, religion, leisure etc. However, definition of a few authors has been mentioned as follows:
