Job satisfaction is a set of favorable and unfavorable feelings and emotions of the employee towards the different facets of the job. Job satisfaction typically refers to the attitude of a single employee. Job satisfaction is an overall attitude, i.e., attitude towards different parts of the job.

Job satisfaction is relatively stable, as well as dynamic. It is a part of life satisfaction. Environmental factors affect job satisfaction. These factors have spillover effects on job satisfaction.
